Dear Parents who want a dog and are raising children,

I am sure you have heard it all before like "You'll end up taking care of the dog!" and you have probably closed your ears to the advice of outsiders. But, I am telling you to seriously think through keeping your family just the way it is. Why you might ask? I thought you would say that. I put together a list of scenarios that may or may not change your ever wavering heart for becoming a fur parent.

With dogs come many responsibilities like: taking them out when you are trying to feed your kids breakfast, cleaning up accidents your dog has made while trying to get the kids and the groceries in the house, remembering to give them water after your kids have played in the bowl and spilled it all over the floor, picking the piles of poop up while trying to juggle a leash and two babies, telling your toddler to stop pulling on your dog's hair and modeling over and over again how to gently pet your dog, feeling guilty when your dog wants you to pet them, but you shoo them away because you need a minute to yourself, taking your dog on real life walks and not just the kind where you walk them out for two seconds to let them use the bathroom, having a contingency plan for the long days you have planned out of the house and how your dog is going to properly dispose of their feces and urine, and not finally, but I will wrap up with the responsibility of having to spend more money on finding people to watch your pet when you want to go on a family vacation.

You see, the struggle of being a fur parent as well as raising children is real. Do you think you can still fit in time for yourself? Do you have the stamina it takes to get through the list of responsibilities in the above paragraph and much more? If, yes I said if, I could go back in time and tell my college self to push through the loneliness and attachment to the idea of wanting a dog, I would. I would tell me to save my 'dream' until later.  The later might never come, but the stress and time wasted on shedding tears over feeling crazy would be well worth it.

Your parent friend,

Whoever decided to create 'apple picking' as an activity for people to do is genius! It is one of the best fall activities to do with your kids. You can choose to do a scavenger hunt while you are there by creating a print up of things to find that you know will be there.

Lawrence Farms has the perfect set up for all ages. They have a variety of produce to choose from and little houses for the kids to play in as well as a horse to pet. If you are planning on picking up a lot of food, you can rent one of their wagons or bring your own. We had a blast and cannot wait to go back!

With fall weather comes lots of wind; our hair blows in our face and gets stuck in our mouths and creates a headache for me to fix. For this reason, I searched for a quick and easy hairstyle for my long hair that takes 3-5 minutes from start to finish. I also needed something that would be fast enough to do before the babies wake up in the morning. After completing my hair style, I accentuate my braid by spraying some dark blonde AGE beautiful Root Touch-up for a thicker more luscious look. I like how the AGE beautiful Root Touch-up spray adds volume and gives the illusion of a fuller head of hair. I tend to use this spray a lot more in between coloring my hair.

1. The first thing you need to do is create a part in the middle of your hair and twist a small portion on each side of the part.

2. When you are finished twisting, put both sides together and tie off with a rubber band.

3. Start a fishtail braid by pulling from your hair that is not a part of the twists.

4. Once finished with the fishtail braid, tie off with a rubber band and pull on hair to create a fuller, thicker braid.

5. Spray roots with AGE beautiful Root Touch-up spray by Zotos Professional to accent your roots, give volume, and create an illusion of a fuller head of hair.

We are road tripping today to Virginia for a nice long visit with my parents. The trip is going very well and we are loving our minivan from Honda!

I have always liked doing 'artsy' things, but I have always been unsure of pursuing photography for fear of failing. This is my first shoot that I have ever done for someone else and I am loving the outcome! We took just under 100 photos and came out with 69 edited photos that I am proud of.

This adorable family was so easy going and they gave me the confidence to look in to pursuing a little photography business on the side. Not only is this family super cute, they are stylish as well. I love the burgundy tones they chose to wear for this sunset session. The colors bring out all the best hues of fall.

I am looking forward to seeing what this opportunity will bring for me in the future!

My secret to my post baby look is my Mother Tucker Corset. I have been struggling with my posture and have been having a lot of back problems, so I decided to look for a brace that would be thin enough to wear outside of the house.

The Mother Tucker Corset has it all! From hiding my belly fat, to being seemingly invisible or hard to notice under clothes, it has stretchy material so I don't feel like I am suffocating, and it is loose enough that it does not emphasize my back bulge.

I have the Mother Tucker Corset in the nude and love the way it feels. I am looking forward to getting some great use out of it and look forward to wearing it to fancier events for a seamless look.

If you are struggling with bad posture after having a baby or simply want something to hide your newly developed stomach, I high suggest ordering Belly Bandit's Mother Tucker Corset. You are purchasing comfort with a push of a button.
